Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About PEBC Document Evaluation

PEBC Document Evaluation is the first step for international pharmacy graduates who wish to practice in Canada. It verifies that your pharmacy degree and credentials meet Canadian standards.

Any pharmacist who completed their pharmacy degree outside Canada must complete the PEBC Document Evaluation before being eligible for the PEBC Evaluating Exam.

Required documents include application forms, proof of identity, pharmacy degree certificates, transcripts, and verification of current or past licensure status.

Applicants must courier their application forms and identity documents directly to PEBC. Official transcripts and licensing verifications must be sent by the issuing authorities via courier or email.

The process usually takes about 8 weeks. However, the timeline may be extended if discrepancies are found and additional documents are requested.

The fee is CAD 705, which must be paid at the time of submission of your application and documents.

Once the evaluation is complete, PEBC will upload a results letter to your Digital Wallet in your PEBC Portal account within 5 business days.

The results of PEBC Document Evaluation are valid for 5 years from the date mentioned on the results letter.

If discrepancies are found, PEBC will contact you via email and may request additional documents. This could extend the evaluation timeline.

Without completing document evaluation, you cannot proceed to the PEBC Evaluating Exam or Qualifying Exam. It ensures that your academic qualifications are recognized in Canada.
